in short: 318 died on me on the motorway. Now I have a new car.
So I haven’t posted on here in a while.
This is my new car. Bought it at the start of July for my work experience placement. Done about 4500 miles in it and very much enjoy having it. Will eventually take some nice pictures of it with a nice camera rather than my phone camera.
Just bought this beast off eBay. It’s a late 70′s Raleigh Hustler, can’t really seem to find much about it on the internet. Got my housemate Mike to go help me pick up the bike as it wasn’t too far from my uni. Not sure what I’ll do with it yet, I really love the green mudguards. Probably just give it a good clean, new handlebar tape, new seat and seatp ost (it’s a stupidly short seat post). Oddly the seat is a rare Brooks B18 Messenger saddle (or so google says) which is this horrible hard plastic thing. Super uncomfortable. It has a stumpy (I think) 3 gear system which is pretty cool, gear 1 currently doesn’t work but I’ll work that out eventually.
Tidy (bar wires… damn wires.) purely for photo. Recently purchased some B&W 601S3 on eBay for a bargain price which sound sooooo good. Followed by another eBay purchase of a NAD C340 for another bargain price. Slightly big but it’ll do, sounds good. Completely love the looks of the speakers and preparing them for some definite university use.
Sorry for poor picture, not taken by me. I’m excited, despite my complete lack of knowledge for bikes (although I do know its a good frame…).
Evolution.
Really cool to see how they progressed each year to eventually turn into what they are today.
But which one is the best? Ferrari 641/2 is definitely up there …
